+1. Riders who approach or enter blind corners in the wrong lane scare me. I don't care what happens to them, I'm only worried about the impact, both physically and emotionally, to the occupant/s of the vehicle coming the other way. Even if there is no collision you could image the car drivers heartbeat shooting through the roof as they realise they are possibly about to kill another human - through no fault of their own.

from all the bikes parked around the place and people filming it looks to me like its a regular spot for them to "do their thing". Whenever i hear the term Bikers as if there is some sort of mystical international brotherhood that anybody who rides a motorcycle is automatically a fully paid up member of i have a laugh to myself, there are some nice people who ride bikes and there are some not so nice people who ride bikes and there are some fuckwits who ride bikes. Well i for one know that i don't have the balls to ride like that on a busy public road. There is a time and a place for that sort of riding and i don't think that it is on a public road.

And that's fine. I don't know of a single person in the industry (or any rider) that wouldn't like to see zero accidents. Instead of insulting people here, I try to do my bit as far as training/helping people be better riders.

But they (accidents) do happen...and despite what some like Katman and his mate 'Viscount Montgomery' might think...a lot of them can not be avoided even by the best and safest riders there are. To say otherwise is the height of arrogance...and as I've said many times, also highly insulting to anyone that's been killed/injured or just taken out in such circumstances.


I agree that not every accident can be avoided. However, an analogy I can apply to this is a lesson I learnt years ago when I first started in car sales. We were having a sales meeting and the owner said 'everyone who comes on the yard is a buyer'. Being young and green I disagreed, and rattled off a number of legitimate scenarios where I thought the punter was not a buyer. He glowered back at me. Later that day I questioned myself why a man of his experience and success would say that, and why he looked at me that way. Then it dawned on me, even though every customer may not be an actual buyer you approach them like they are.

So while every crash may not be avoidable, we need to approach them as they are avoidable and do everything in our power to do so. Sure like every customer I spoke to didn't result in a sale as every accident won't be avoidable, having the mindset that every customer was a buyer meant my conversion rate increased, just as thinking every crash is avoidable will no doubt decrease the number of crashes there are.

Why would that be? Yes there are people that ride like cocks. No not everyone that rides, ride like that.

Some people on bikes <250cc ride like cocks while many on litre plus bikes don't.

I hardly see it as justification for increasing levies across the board.

Make the penalties for riding like a cock tougher, and instead of talking and showing videos of it, do something about it.

Then again I don't know if it will make any difference anyway, probably reduce their revenues, since the last checkpoint i got stopped at, they were only interested in my licence, and whether i was complying with the class (F so no worries :p)

Their ride styles are rough as guts, and the sliding into corners is all show and very little go, as in far from being the fastest way round a corner. I reckon it's hard to tell how blind a corner really is from a static camera angle. I got bored about 3.5 mins in.
