View Full Version : What bike shops are open in Christchurch?

I lost my gloves in Hanmer Springs a few weekends back and have been riding around with my elephant ears on to protect my hands.

I want to take them off but I need gloves.

Anyone know whats open in town?

Not sure. I'd imagine the Honda and Suzuki shops near Hornby may be about it for now. Haven't heard about Just Motorcycles at New Brighton but hoping so as my bike will need some loving soon.

Definitely Hampton, and I'd be guessing Avon City is open too. Not sure about Yamaha on Ferry Rd, drove past there the other day and some of their windows were boarded up.

You'd guess right, I was in at Ford on Friday and the Bike shop was open

Yeah. They're probably OK. Budget Motorcycle Spares are outside of the cordon but I believe they took a bit of a hit.

Trevor Pierce are open, well they were earlier in the week, I know they were taking Friday off. Budget Motorcycle spares were up and running on Wednesday when I went in, they were working like mad sorting out the store when I called back on Friday.

Shame to hear Ian has called it a day but given the circumstances and damage out there when would he have been able to get going again would have been a huge killer.

I had my first visit to Avon City Suzuki last week, and Hampton Honda are both open. I presume Norjo would be too. Emoto (St Asaph St) might be IF their building is OK.
