Todays news; A guy is sentenced to life, for kicking a two year old to death for wetting himself. The man was high on cannabis.
"But he's not a monster" according to the high court judge. His stress was partly due to having the toddler 'dumped' on him for the day.
They import judges from another planet and people still question whether there's intelligent life out there. Obviously not.

So he was partially excused of his behavior because he was stressed?
Which is more pathetic?
Why even defend him in the slightest?

Pathetic excuse.
Next they will blame the child. Disgusting to see the Judiciary taking anything less than the toughest of approaches to killing defenceless infants.
I hope the bastard meets a similar fate in prison. See how he likes being kicked to death, then the Judge can feel sorry for the inmates who had him "dumped on them for the day".

Having smoked a bit of cannabis in the past with lots of different people, I would say that is the worst excuse I have ever heard. P is more likely. Fucked in the head even more likely.

Most likely, sometime in the next 20 years, he will be out on parole for "good behavior" :innocent:
What happened to a life sentence being exactly that?

Happens elsewhere, but not in our good old modern PC NZ.
American kid in 1998 killed both of his parents and took 1,000~ rounds of ammunition to school and let rip. 50 rounds, 4 death and 24 injured later, he's serving 111 years of strictly non-parole sentencing, starting age 15. He has appealed twice or sommat, but denied.
Granted this monster is somewhat less serious, I would like to think the judge doesn't fall short on the sentence.

They promote Judges from among the pool of lawyers and lawyers and judges are said to be (by some) part of New Zealand's problems, rather than the solution!
You don't have to read many news papers or other media statements to influence your thinking that this could be correct, do you!
