Cool! It's a Triumph 350 Bandit - not many of those around! Probably about a 1971 model

did Edward Turners last bike the Bandit actually make it into production?
sure looks like one.

The centre one is a pre 57 T100, judging by the alloy cylinders...heavily modified.

As far as I know the Bandit did get made in small numbers, but it was a flop

The bandit wasnt turners. His effort was deemed a bit - fragile.

Yeah,it was the final insult to Turner,to make the 350 twin better than his effort.I don't think there was too much wrong with the bike, just wrong timing. They were aiming at the strong 250/350 twin market from Japan, just as Japan switched focus to bigger bikes.

There was one in display at Whites in Newmarket for several years...rumoured to be a mockup with no internals.I met a guy in Melbourne who had a running example, and he was pumping me for info about the NZ one...understandable I suppose.

Here is Carol Cleaveland with some promo shots.Don't ask who Carol Cleaveland is,you shouldn't be in this forum.

Not sure how much Turner had to to with it but there were only (apparently) five Bandits produced.
I know of two, one in a popular Triumph parts place called TMS and one at the Sammy Miller museum that was found in NZ. It's a cool looking bike up close.

pretty sure there are more than that plus frames etc. At one point the existing 500 donk was fitted to one... Sad really - it had some promise but too little too late
