Whatever someone is prepared to pay for it.

If you want to know it's value, compare what others of the same model etc sold for, taking into consideration their condition. Any other 'guesstimate' isn't really going to give you a fair answer, however this will.

do you think the crash suggests a low speed drop? I'm considering buying a new one but this one for half the price seems a more economical option. am tired of buying used bikes that get expensive quickly

Animus .. the guys already mentioned its worth whatever is paid for it. If you are tired of buying used bikes buy a new one .. or a used one that hasn't been crashed at all.

So you think you should buy "new" and so get the "expensive" part done first ... ???

its down where you are with a bike shop ... personally ... if I was stressed I wouldn't bother .. if I could buy new I would ... eliminate any hassle at all that way.

Firstly, it's not a 2006 model. It's a 2005 so compare it with other K5 600s. Price is at the top end of what they're worth and has some minor damage, but then it is an aniversary model.

New one would kick its arse in every department. I'f you've got the wallet, go new.

I just had some very minor crash damage (scratches & stuff) repaired thanks to the insurance company.
It was over $5k. Little scratches and dents get real expensive, real quick. If you don't want to start off with something that needs money spent on it then at least buy something that's not crash damaged. If it was cheap to fix, don't you think the guy selling the bike would have done so before putting it on TM.
Keep looking, be patient........................... oh and buy a YAMAHA!
