Hi Guys,

Anyone able to help out with the lend of a chain rivet tool. I bought a new chain a coupla days ago and was going to buy a chain tool appropriate to riveting the master link. It was a renthal chain and has come with the solid type of pin rather than the hollow. The only tool I could see that riveted this type was a few hundred bucks so like all good backyard hacks (woops I mean mechanics) let google do the walking and figured I could get away without one.

Anyway, have fitted the new sprockets and chain and am now trying to get the sideplate on. Ive got it part way but realised pretty quickly its gonna be hard if not impossoble to get the fucker on without an appropriate tool.

I put off taking the bike anywhere as its not road legal (IE track prepped) but am now in a bit of a bind. Ive got a track day on Wednesday (at HD) so am hoping to get it sorted tomomorow afternoon after work. I would take it to cycletreads but am simply gonn a run out of time. It will be on a trailer this time tomorrow so I could drive the bike to wherever rather than need to take the tool, away.

Anyone that can help ? PLEEEEEEAAAASE

Thanks... I might be going mad but I can't see anything relevant on that site. Also not sure they will get it couriered in time anyway.
