FXR clutch slipping... help

My clutch is slipping on the FXR when I am doing full throttle, clutch less gear changes.

last meeting using my full throttle gear changes going in to the stright counter clock wise... Mt Welly and the clutch could not handle the jandal.

So what's the solution?

Use the clutch?

One thing you could try is taking the steels out and taking the shine off them either in a bead blaster or by scraping them across concrete, rough but worked on my LC back in the day.
Or you could get all techincal and measure the plates and springs and stuff and see if anything is out of spec.

Or just replace the clutch fibres (if the steels look ok/meet the right specs). That's not that expensive. I don't use the clutch for upshifting on my FXR and never have. I definitely do for downshifting.

It could also be that you're running the wrong type of oil etc but probably not that. If the bike has done tons of kms and been thrashed for some time, it's probably just your fibre plates that need replacing.

Place a piece of fine (P400+) sandpaper on a FLAT surface and buff both sides of your steels on it.
Replace fibre plates.
Heavier springs.
Correct grade of oil.

Or a combination... I would start with the oil and buff the steels.
