Mexicans are generally not well liked around here. It seams whenever the popo nabbs a drug dealer or thief it is a Mexican who is illegally in the USA. Unfortunantly, there are also a lot of Mexicans, rightly and not, using and abusing the USA welfare system.
When Arizona bought in the law that allows cops to check suspicious individuals ID, ie Mexicans, as there is such a big problem with illegals there, a lot of people kicked up a stink saying it is racist, not fair blah blah. I am totally for it. IMO, the Mexicans have done it to themselves by not takeing care of business in Mexico re the drug cartel problems and more or less not doing anything to stop the illegal migration and smuggleing of drugs, guns and people into the US. I had to jump thru hoops to be here legally even though I am married to a yank so I have absolutely no sympathy for anyone who tries to do it illegally.

Its funny how it took a female governer to have the balls to push for that law in AZ, and then Obama's administration sued AZ over it. Imagine that! Your commander in chief that takes offence in you enforcing what in actuality is a federal law!!!
I left the states for NZ a year ago, and I am not ashamed to say that Obama in office was part of my motivation to leave  I just wish I could get a properly made burrito over here :innocent:

:Offtopic: but noticed a car ad starting with the line "off to Toco Bell". That's note even pretenting. can you get Taco Bell outside the States? :whocares:

Yes, I don't see what the fuss is. If you are here legally then there is nothing to worry about.
Also, how about we set up some sort of international snackfood trade deal. You can send me some pies, snapper, bacon and butter and I will send you all the burritos you can handle...

Maybe the Americans bear a little bit of responsibility too...who's buying the drugs and employing the illegal immigrants...hmmm...?

Yes but the yanks are doing summat about it. Upgraded boarder protection and patrols not to mention Arizonas new rules. As for employing illegals, the penalty is severe and there are a lot of people willing to dob in the offenders.

It's the land of free enterprise, the Mexicans'll go wherever the market is...as will anyone else.
When the Merkens stop buying, the Mexicans'll stop shipping.

By the way, a federal judge threw out the one part of the Arizona border bill that was worth anything. This was the part where cops had to ask a motorist for proof of citizenship when pulling people over. This is the part that everyone had a problem with, and at the last moment before it went into effect, a judge overrules that section of the bill, and now AZ governer is fighting to reinstate that section, if I recall correctly.
It takes a very warped liberal mind to see nothing wrong with NOT maintainging the sovereignty of a country. Thats another reason to like NZ. You better be a good swimmer to get here illegally :sunny:
BTW, the ground beef used by Taco Bell has been found to only contain 35% beef and can no longer be classified as beef (I think the cut off point is 39% in the state:sick:)

But it's the "natives" who want that cheap labour, and those drugs and those guns. If they stopped wanting those things then there'd be no problem right? I'd say the Americans have done it to themselves.

You should count yourself lucky you don't live in San Angeles; all restaurants are Taco Bell.

What do you mean by 'natives'?
The drugs that come from Mexico are sold in the US to pay for guns that are smuggled back to Mexico.
