What do you reckon its worth as a private sale (TM etc.) and what might i get as a trade?

Its had new cylinder, piston, gaskets etc less than 20 hours ago and new clutch 30 hrs ago, its in pretty good condition i think

Don't bother trading, unless you want to buy bubble gum on your way home. A dealer will look after you more if you walk in with the full amount, eg, better deals on parts and gear etc.

I sold my 2002 cr125 in 2007 for $2000, but i didn't care about the price i just wanted it gone, as my current bike was ready for pick up new.

was he the one who rebuilt it before i built it? it was off a guy in lower hutt - if so he is a retard and ripped me off with the bike - i was new to bikes at that stage, he told me it was rebuilt 10 hours before i bought it. if it was rebuilt, he fucked the cylinder by boring out the exhaust port so it lost all compression over top of the powervalve. if he didnt rebuilt it, he knew about it and flicked it on to someone who knew less. cost me a 1k to get it going right

did the work myself so no reciepts, i have the box that the cylinder came in though lol.

to be honest it could do with some new wheel bearings, and its missing a couple of spokes too but nothing too major.

3k would buy it today but i doubt i'll get that, im open to offers, probably around $2600 or so?

for $2600 i'd fix the bearings and spokes, well im going to do that anyway before i next ride it cause i dont want to be replacing a rim or hub lol! yeah price is on the high side but im not going to start low lol :-)

as before, im interested in serious cash offers. its a hard point to get accross to people on tm lol they keep texting asking what is my bottom dollar - im not going to tell you my f'n bottom dollar! people who ask that typically arent really considering it imo

its an 03, bit older than what i was wanting but i know the guy selling and he used to be ahonda mechanic, that and the crf has only a couple of rides since a rebuild i think it would be a pretty good buy.

and how is your crf? a lot of my mates ride ktm's and give me shit bout my honda but i've always liked the way it handles, its a very forgiving bike i think.

haha yeah the cr is fun, but its a lot of hard work especially considering all the riding i do is trails etc (i.e. no mx tracks) and im just too fat for it! are you going to give me 3k for it? that would be awesome or are you saying its worth 3k lol?

have the wheel bearing/spokes been fixed now? tryed texting and ringing you before with the number off the auction, could be keen to come up 2 palmy and having a look

havent had any missed calls or texts? na, havent got round to fixing wheel bearings or tightening the spokes as i havent had the time, i was just going to tell the person about it and take it into account on price. I have had a guy offer me $2100 who is supposedly coming up from wellington to look at it/pick it up on friday, and for $2100 im not going to do the bearings as i just dont have the time.

If you are keen and want to pay more than $2100 we could sort something out? I've already bought another bike hence why i've dropped my expecations a bit
