Finally after years of riding with shit helmets, I decided to splash out and get a decent helmet to go with the new bike. ( Yamaha 650 dragstar)

Got a top of the range HJC. What a different riding experience. At 1200 gm's it is amazing how a light helmet feels after a heavy one. My other helmet was also a HJC but a basic entry model. It has the pinlock anti fog thingy, spare tinted visor, spare screws for the visor fittings, cleaning kit, and a 5 yr warranty.

It seemed quite noisy at first, then removed the big windshield that the bike came with, and that made a big difference. The ventilations actually works. Has a lot less buffeting. Definately worth the extra money.

Nice, I too just splashed out on a new HJC helm, i think it weighs something around 1250g so close to yours, I was amazed at how well the ventilation works as well as the exhaust for hot air, I found while stationary or at a slow speed it heats up very quickly but once you get up to the 50km mark it sucks the heat out.

It's a R-PHA 10 model. The only drawback is the chin curtain catching under my chin, then under my nose when taking it off.
