Anyone ordering gas tank related stuff anytime soon?

Need an IMS replacement gas cap. US$14-16, but the typical shipping is US$30.
If anyone is ordering anything anytime soon it'd be handy to throw it in there too, otherwise will just have to order one anyway.

Current one is munted.

Someone said in a post a while back that a standard DR tap can be used with 2 minutes of filing to the IMS insert, .. can't rememebr who said it though.

If it is for your DR650 and you want to go big (30 litres) then Safari Tanks (http://www.safaritanks.com.au/home/) is a good option, because I needed an oddball one I got mine through Just Gas Tanks (http://www.justgastanks.com), their service and delivery time was awesome, so too was their backup service when I needed a new cap seal.

I enquired about a drz400 17 litre tank from sarfari a few months ago. On the justtanks site they said theywon'tship to Aussie due to shipping costs. Anyway heres the reply I got from Sarfari:

Thank you for your enquiry. The cost for one tank to be sent to you will be
$421.82 AUD for the tank and $98.80 AUD for the freight. Total for one tank
is $520.62 AUD. To get two tanks sent to the same address it will be $801.46
AUD for the two tanks and $125.80 AUD for the freight. Total for Two tanks
is $927.26 AUD.

Works out to be $700NZ approx for 1 tank.

It's really because the Aussies were buying them from justgastanks who were cheaper inc shipping than getting them straight from Safari in Oz. So Safari complained to justgastanks........

The just gas tanks price is $660NZ +shippingShipping must be a bit fromthe states.

The Aussie DR650 riders were a bit annoyed they could save quite a bit getting a 32L Safari from justgastanks than going down the road to Aqualine themselves.

The Oz prices may have come down a bit since then though.

might be a bit OT but last night i went to order a screen from the US it was only $57usd so i thought sweeeeet, but got to the end of the proccess and it came up with $120 postage for overseas buyers WTF :gob: :crybaby:

Go through one of the shipping forwarders, eg I used comgateway.com last time I got KTM bits, US$35 for the 1st 1/2 kg, US$7/0.5kg after that (volumetric rate for bulky stuff applys)
