As I understand ... any alteration to suspension systems must be certified. Check with those that do such work ...

Any obvious changes to any vehicles suspension may result in being asked for certification at WOF test's ... not all testers may ask, but ask them first maybe ...

If they locked the brake and flat spotted it then their test sucks

You used to be able to do 2 inches using blocks without certification

What has this got to do with the OP's question?

With a flat spot on a tyre ... it will chew out (THAT spot) quite quickly. Even may result in a blow-out ... SOONER rather than later ...

Sounds like a new tyre would have been needed soon anyway.

I think he's talking about the RRRS course where they practice emergency braking.
To gain "competency" there must be smoke from the rear tyre.

Sounds like a strange "competency" test to me ...

There's a lot of things you "used" to be able to do without certification ...

How can only using back brake ... be riding "right" ... ???

A given stopping distance from a given speed should be more important ... surely ... ???

its to demonstrate that a locked rear wheel is quite controllable,is not very effective as a stopping method, and so that people who have never experienced a locked rear wheel do experience it

Nope. Aftermarket adjusties need to be certed but lowering springs and blocks don't as long as they're captive and there is at least 100mm ground clearance from the lowest part of the chassis.

I like the fuel consumption figures! I'm sure if you had that would be the least of your worries, probably be about on par with rear tyre/license consumption
