I am about to buy a 2010 Rocket Roadster in October :woohoo: and was wondering about the Pros and cons about them and any bad reviews or factory recalls

There was a positive review of them that I read in Live To Ride, although there was a few minor things they said they did not like.
Overall impression was positive.

Just my size. They have given it some ground clearance and if you like torque - any R3 is yo' daddy.
Pretty good handling and brakes out of the crate too. I quite like the large lump of blackness looks as well.
I wouldn't like to have to keep one in back tyres (with my wrist anyways). They are 5 to 6 hundy and I can toast one in a few thousand K's. They do wheelie pretty good though. Take a deep breath and dump it.
They last better with restraint I'm told :-)

Good on you they are a great bike. Don't worry about the tyres, it's the ride that counts.

Cycletreads, $400 new rear Metzler.
Not much diff from a decent sports rear.
Hows the clutch going, got the buzzzz?
Looking at TORS and popping down to Palmerston for a retune, ANZA.
Oh, and keep the tyre pressure on the nail. Makes a hell of a difference.

Also thinking about getting a Rocket (if I can get permission from the boss :)).
I am not sure about the weight though. Haven't had a bike for a lot of years, my first was a 500 Mach 3, second was a 900 Duck (Z1B) so I have had some time on the wild and woolly handling bikes and something with grunt but no where near as heavy as the Rocket. How do you find the weight, particularly parking and how comfortable is the roadster compared to the tourer. I want something for long distance mostly but like the look of the roadster a little more than the touring.
