looks like a good deal to me

they are truckloads of fun, and rare to find one in good nick nowadays

piss off, it's only a 250, and a great first bike

(my first bike was a 750 four, and i aint dead. not everyone is a moron on the road. you are just making assumptions)

Totaly agree. My third ever bike was a 250 two stroke and loads of fun. I killed it when the piston broke.

To the OP looks alright, never know until you look at it etc etc

Dont recall being informed at the time that continued abuse of the engine married to poor attention to all things mechanical would result in a major breakdown. You live an learn. I sold it to a guy who put a 350 in it and went racing back in the 90s

piss off, it's only a 250, and a great first bikePossibly what he means is, the fuel endurance is poor, the fuel economy is poor, they shit themselves if you fail to stroke them just right, parts are harder to get, only enthusiasts (you!) will work on them, they are not that flash to tour on unless you want to play a song on the gearbox all day.

Sure they are a blast, but modern 4 cyl bikes provide a far more consumer-oriented experience, particularly suitable for those who only want to ride and not fiddle with the bike.
