Hello all. I have a sad tale to tell and a small request at the end. Roughly a couple of months ago a workmate of mine Eddie Scott was on his way home about midnight, after work. Heading from Glenbrook towards Pukekohe. As usual he was on his bike, toddling along happily, not much traffic. Suddenly he was hit by a car coming in the opposite direction. Turns out the driver was drunk and had lost control on a slight zig-zag at a place known as "Collision Crossroads". This brain dead moron litterally wiped Eddie off the road from the right side and pushed him through a fence. Eddie suffered a lot of damage, compound fractures of both arms, broken pelvis, etc etc. A prolonged stay in ICU and a lot of metal bits fitted saw Eddie stating that he would be home for his birthday, and he was. He's a tough bloke. The bike's injuries however are terminal and the cops are asking Dorothy, Eddies wife if she can provide an acurate estimate of the bike's value so that they can go "Brain-dead" for some compensation. Now thats where you come in. If you or one of your mates has recently bought a 1986 BMW K100RS and can provide documented proof of how much you paid for it I would be very appreciative. Eddie's bike had about 27000k's on it. If you could scan and email, fax, or just photo copy and post it via snail mail, send me an email to kiwi-bloke at bigfoot.com and I will give you details where to send it. Thanks.

I'll second that. Tell him why you're asking so he knows you aren't about to try and trade...

I only have Experience BMWs freephone (OK, I'm a tight bastard)

I sold my '86 K100RS 4 years ago for $6000 and it was in tidy condition with 70000 km on the clock. I know it re-sold last year and can probably track the new owner down as he works at another branch of our company. PM me if you want me to follow through.

Cheers
