It was a great day. Wets are your friend and they help low horsepower bikes embarass sprotbikes :niceone:

It helped a lot that it wasn't cold. Taupo's track in the cold is dangerous.

Pretty good day tho. Never ridden on wets before. Getting aquaplaning/wheelspin at 240 odd k down the straight was a fun. So was riding most of the lap with a dark/mirror visor open so I could see....:facepalm:

That wasn't a cold day in Taupo. I was walking around in the pit shed in bare feet for half an hour after getting off the track cos I was trying to dry my socks out. When it's too cold to take your boots off and tip the water out Taupo is like a skating rink.

My leathers aren't so bad. They don't have any vent holes etc and the seams don't seem to leak so the only problems I had with getting wet was water running off the petrol tank, through the stretch panels on the inner thigh then running down my legs and filling up my boots. Next time I ride in the rain I'm going to take 6 pairs of socks.
