HARRO!
How is everyone? It's been a rong time since I've posted on KB.
Still riding every day, but finding myself a bit too busy to read, browse, troll and be trolled on the motorbike site we all love the best...
I've just been lucky enough to secure a rental apartment in the city (beating 7 other applicants), on the fringe of the viaduct for a pretty sweet price. It's kinda smallish, but us Asians don't mind....it's "luxury" for us.
It has one undercover carpark for me missus, but no bike park for me :violin::violin::violin::violin:
Now I could park next to the car, but I'm wondering if it's ok to park overnight in the public carparks. Do they allow this? I know it's cool to do so during the day...
If anyone has any tips to share, it would be greatly appreciated

There's that carpark downtown with the entrance right next to Monsoon Poon. I see alot of bikes all grouped in there together, especially on the level with the overbridge. Not sure if its free though.

Very bottom says free motorcycle parking - I know overnight parking at civic is ok so you should be fine.

Sweet. Thanks.
Some carparks I always see the same bikes, so suspect people are leaving them there overnight...

I tried it once... but then she wanted to marry me the next day! lol
but seriously though. This place I'm talking about is so close to you. Me and a mate of mine were cleaning that overbridge once a month. I think its called Kermadecks??? ...anyway, on that level of the carpark there's tons of bikes parked up there. Worth looking into if its free parking.

If you have a missus and she moved in too, it's big enough
As Big Dave says, make sure your bike is locked up in a way that it cannot be easily unlocked.
Good luck.

Tell your gf you need the car park for bike or find an empty corner in the apt building to park the bike... You could try and squeeze the bike and car in same park space even.
Personally I wouldn't park in that car park next to monsoon poon long term. Have read about vans coming in and pinching bikes and simply driving off, I've seen viaduct slappers getting their early morning protein shots next to the bikes, drunk bums waddling about etc.
