Daffy, my beloved R1150GS, is on the market. Sniff. Daffy has been my companion for the last 3 years, showing me and Mrs D the South Island, and trustingly taking me to work without missing a beat.
Daffy has Ohlins front and rear, Touratech handguard extenders, spotlights and daytime running lights. He handles like a sports bike with the Ohlins. An after market tool box lid goes with the tool kit and standard tool box. The battery is 8 months old, and still starts every time. My commute is 30 km, so no worries about the bike gathering dust.
The Wunderlich Ergo screen has small cracks at the mounting points, but they have been there since the earthquake, and add character. The left header has a small ding, and apart from that, the bike is in excellent order.
The Conti Road Attack tyres have plenty of life left. There is a carbon hugger back there to keep the muck down. Daffy has the original panniers with the extra BMW top box, so can pack in lots of your things, and a hair dryer.
I'm just needing to downsize, a road commuter is in line for me. Daffy is built for better than I can do, so on he goes.
