hello to everyone....
after having a bit of a crash 10 months ago ive decided i want to get back into it. mainly because im sick of my car, and really want a bike again.
im on my restricted and able to go for my full now, i want to do my full pretty soon so im not sure if i really want to buy a 250 because ill just end up selling it 2 or 3 days later. is there a place in wellington you can hire bikes out? need a bit of help, its pretty tough out there with a car thats costing me $40 a week in insurence and $600 everytime i get a small scrash or mark on it.
cheers

Just get a CBR250rr or a zxr250... it will keep you entertained for a long time. They are good machines.
You haven't ridden for a while and have you ridden much at all?
If you are just wanting something for commuting but want to have fun too, i'd say a 400 or a 250 4 cylinder

Stop wasting good money on shit bikes. Get a 4 cylinder 250 with twin front discs, and you won't even need to upgrade when you get your full. I know they are getting old, but they are just so damn good.
A personal rule I have is never buy the same bike twice unless you have a very good reason. And until new evidence arrives, don't buy chinese or korean.
I just recently bought a UZ125, Japanese made. Fuel injected, and it is a lot of fun. It has advantages that proper bikes don't but some disadvantages that proper bikes don't either. I reckon my UZ would give a GT250 a run for it's money up to 60km/hr.

Welcome back.
Nothing has changed.
Apparently Hondas are still gay
Suzukis still crash
Kawasakis still explode
Yamahas - are they still making bikes?
Harleys still get picked upon for things that went wrong with them 30 years ago
Ho-bags are still not 'real' bikes.
