Just sprayed a couple of tanks & some plastics today with VHT quickdry enamel from Repco.
I talked to a panel paints rep the other day before I started & he reassured me enamel is the easiest way to go. I'm reasonably pleased with some parts (cracked or gouged before I started- just a tart up) & very happy with the tanks.
I wanted to spray a clear to 'seal' the paint & protect it a bit more.
The rep mentioned that clear enamel is simply paint without colour & won't protect any more than the applied colour. Is there any other reasonably priced spray coating that would protect the tanks from fuel spills?
