has Binglish turned socialist (http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/latest/9169122/english-under-fire-for-competitive-low-wage-comment/) (or is there an election on the horizon :shifty:)

"We are seeking a credible economic plan that results in a rise in real wages on a sustainable basis. That requires better distribution of income, higher investment in skills, and greater co-operation at a workplace level."

Oh, and good luck with finding a credible plan Binglish... although I've got one that would all but erradicate crime, poverty (one of the UN MDG's) and negate the constant need to raise prices :)... please feel free to call me should you wish to pursue the opportunity further... i'll give it to ya for free :killingme

With any luck his "better distribution of income" means that those who actually work for their income might be able to hang onn to it, and those who receive income for nothing begin doing something constructive.

You're right - that's never going to happen.

heh, I wouldn't say never, but certainly not under the current system we have.

 I guess tax breaks not doing anything for the majority of the population isn't a vote winner anymore... so the promise of financial "equity" () is all that's left. I bet they're cursing the person that filed that idea under Socialism... but it sounds like an exceptional alternative to tax breaks as an "election promise" to me :killingme

Erm, that's "distribution", which is statistician-speak not "re-distribution" which is socialist-speak.

Sounds as sensible as his plan from last year which if I remember had something to do with getting wage parity with Aussie? It was wage rises then...
I think we wish someone could explain to us already living on a low wage, how it is done.

Politicians love equality -
Except when it comes to wage rises. Theirs is enacted quickly and exceeds what the rest of the taxpaying population would hope to get.

Easy (and sadly). Move to Aussie.
