Hey guys im new to the forums, I'm looking to buy a Honda CB750 (in original condition) as I am going to attempt a cafe racer build. I want to start with a solid bike that is in working condition, fairings, paint and general aesthetics arent overly important but a bike that works is. Ideally it would be SOHC but the a DOHC below 1990 in age would also be a goer. I wont put any more conditions than that! ;)

If anyone has such a bike that they are looking to sell to a good home around the 1000-2500 mark that would be great! you can either post or private message me thanks again!

Try and spend a wee bit more money and get something nicer. People tend to think any SOHC 750 is worth moonbeams in my experience. The under rated jewel (in my humble opinion of course) is the CB750F1 and F2. There was an utter bargain of an F1 sold on tardme a week or so ago for $3750. Theres an F2 (which is basically the same running gear as a 750 Rolladoor, but with the SOHC motor, the very last year they did the SOHC motor) on tardme presently for $5000.

You will get a running 750 or 900 rolladoor well under $3k: they are at their low value ebb I reckon. Depending on what you want to do with it it might be more difficult to make into a classic cafe racer though.

Good luck with the search, and please start a thread and post pix: I need to be motivated to get out to the garage since winter is coming....
