Yup. Solid slugs are used there for hunting.

Yup, using solid slugs (for deer, bear etc) a good shotgun used by a good shooter can regularly hit a 4" (100mm) circle at 100 yards.

Some shotguns can be fitted with a special slug barrel that has a slow twist rifling at the forward end of the barrel to enhance accuracy.

BTW: Slug load kick way harder than your average duck-shooting load.:yes:
