View Full Version : Egg Gang member on a Harely

Corse1

Had a gang member pass me on his Harley with two foot high bars today. Witnessed him do some dodgy passing on blind corners then a couple of k's later come round a corner and his bike was underneath a fuel tanker trailer:angry: Another bad egg giving us a bad name.

He was arguing with the driver who rightly so was staying in his cab until the cops turned up. So he wasn't hurt too bad. I carried on with a small grin on my face:shutup:

Practicing for life after the "oil wars", in a Mad Max world maybe?

The vehicles he was passing must have been going really slow around the corners if they got passed by a Hardly Ableson lol.

You know about speed riding a 250.....?

Yeah thought about that but the further I went I dished the idea. Their headquarters is about 50m up the road from where I work. Didn't want to attract any attention..................

I was not degrading Harely's at any point in my post or implying that they were the only bikes included in accidents. Its the way the bike was being ridden not the type of bike.

Don't make the Hardly riders angry. They'll waddle over and slap you with their tassles

what?? take over yelling at the tanker driver

So why didn't you stop and offer help ?

He was standing up and looked fine, waving his arms around plus there were about 6 vehicles stopped with people already directing traffic etc etc. I would have just been a rubber necker.

Had he been injured I would have stopped being a first aider.
I had to slow down enough to give me ample time to assess the situation.

I always thought Harley riders and gang members were chickens.
I just didn't realise that they were so young when they first started riding.

Yes, a 250 is probably a bit over the top.
He could probably do it on a 125...

Yep pretty much.
I checked out the skid marks on the way back and yep they were on the wrong side of the road. There were no skid marks from the tanker....can't really figure out what happened still.

Perhaps ... somebody ... was travelling at such a speed ... they couldn't stop in half the clear distance of roadway ahead of them ...

Any guesses which one ... ???

Getting stuck behind a Harley on my 250 is like getting stuck behind a bloody truck. Luckily trucks are very easy to pass as soon as a nice straight comes along.

Surely if he was from Rotorua he would have been a 'rotten egg' gang member?

Not just any 250 - it's a GSF!

And some groups of motorcyclists are renown for exceeding the speed limit ... and riding like dicks ...

Any guesses which of the two groups mentioned in this thread were acting within the law ... ???

Not hung up about it at all. Just because someone rides a bike doesnīt make me responsible for them, doesnīt make us mates, brothers or part of any special club. Just another guy riding a bike - I donīt wave either .
