Watched a lot of sport over the weekend.

There were some classics uttered in commentary.

Rugby League Friday night. Laurie Daley. 'When a player is going down on you, you have to know what is up'. (Or close to that).

ESPN mentioned West Brom Witch Albion several times.

But best was the ANZAC Day game of AFL at the Melbourne Cricket Ground - Collingwood Magpies v Essendon Bombers.

At the beginning of the 4th quarter Luke Ball (171 Games) and the rest of his Collingwood team mates were joined by substitute Brad Dick (Just transferred from East Fremantle).

This led to a legitimate call of:

'Ball's in the forward pocket' and 'Dick arriving on fresh legs'.

I kid you not.

Any from Rugby?

I cant find it on Youtube but there was a Super 12 game years ago when Carlois Spencer was still playing for the Blues. I can't remember the othe rplayers name but basically Carlos has the ball and is steaming for the line. He is trying to get the other player to cut in from the wing and take the ball from him.

The commentary went something like this:

"and Carlos Spencer is screaming 'Come inside me, come inside me..!!'"

Brilliant...

Let me introduce you to Mr Murray Mexted.

“You don’t like to see hookers going down on players like that.”
“Andrew Mehrtens loves it when Darryl Gibson comes inside of him.”

I (barely) remember a vendor taking me to a game between the magpies & the bombers at the telstra dome a couple or two years ago. Forecast was for warm, but that bloody breeze thru the stadium was fair chillin'.

Lots of beer. I remember being mortified when after we staggered out of the stadium he asked a couple of cops where was good to eat. I had Kangaroo. Very rare, as recommended by the waiter at some poncy place in the docklands.

Never bought his product tho.

Aussie sales reps think it's all about 'the relationship', kiwi businesses think only in bang for buck.
