I'm always popping out for a fag... but it's just not OK to have a laugh at the expense of the overly sensitive, way too colour coordinated honda riding sector of society... the last thing we need are fags at the games, it sends bad messages to the children... they ruin yer lungs ya know. Sack him, tis no different to the Henry situation.

Homonyms, the joy of modern society.
Henry exploited it, this guy was using it in an honest fashion. Though prime time television should hardly use slang, pure english for the PC society.

And I thought the only gay pie was a cream pie.

There is gay and then there are the lurid details revealed earlier regarding Mr Todd. While he handled it all very well and with some dignity, it was a tad too 'public' and ghastly to be entirely forgotten... The media will have their pound of flesh...

Either way, Mr Williams' comment was true. I am often amazed by who watches breakfast television and their willingness to take offense at tepidly obscure comments that are lamer than I am currently.

Do you think that the media understand a little thing called context?

Typical TVNZ horse:shit:, someone makes an off the cuff remark & they are on to the queer community for a response, the only fag they could find to comment hadn't even seen the segment but speaks out anyway!!:whocares:

They say that having the odd fag makes you.....regular.
Actually, it was Sam Neill that said that, not they.

Won't be too long till the day where you can't make a single comment on a cunt as you might offend them.
No one has the right not to be offended....
