G'day all - I'm building up an 89 ZXR750-H1 for Posty racing, if you've got any bits lurking around in the shed / workshop looking for a new home feel free to PM me...

To the best of my knowledge there was one Kit for a GPX750 brought in - all the motor bits will fit.
At least four ZXR750 kits or part kits were brought in by various individuals at the time.
The bits are around - it's just finding them that's hard.

Having said that about the kits that were around, the only parts you may want nowadays would be the close ratio box...
Myself, I'd go aftermarket. Carillos, JE or similar forged pistons, downdraft FCR carbs which while not WSB legal at the time are quite OK for pre 89 now.
Cams shouldn't be a problem - ask around, I think one of the NI firms copied the racekit cams anyway. They weren't particularly violent, more modern profiles may well be better.
The good Kawas all used aftermarket programmable ignitions anyway - no change now.
As I remember the hardest part building one was getting the compression high enough - the pistons I was given to work with were "endurance" spec....
