OK... All sorted. Mrs N will be gracing my pillion and I think we shall make a day of it by drifting into the city mid morning for cheesy commustables at a handy cafe' (or some other place) and shall meet you lot at Shell Vivian at 1pm.

Bearing in mind it will be fricking freezing and the roads covered in winter shite we will be bimbling along in a measured fashion.

Ok, slight change of plan, well for me anyway. I'll have to meet you fellas over in Martinborough, assuming that you'll still be there at a cafe of some description. I can only leave Wgtn (Petone) at 2 so I should be there before 2.45. Sorry about that.

I've just chanced upon this ancient representation of the elusive sea chicken whilst trawling the depths of the internet archival systems. In classical times, the sea chicken had obtained almost iconic status in some cultures as a dietry staple for remote sea faring communities. It seems that the folklore and traditions of many varied and far-flung cultures make similar references to the sea chicken through both song and art, but this image below is an extremely well preserved, though subtle, representation of the prestige with which the sea chicken is held amongst this one particular community. It was found as part of a larger wall painting in ancient Carthage, in the southern Mediterranean, dating back to pre-Roman times. This portion of the painting was recently removed from the wall (to enable more thorough analysis) and is currently held in the National Museum in Cairo.

Editors note: Though rarely seen in the wild over the last decade, the sea chicken has continued to remain a creature which sybolises strength, freedom and nobility to many people groups globally. It is also a fine table bird.

We could amuse ourselves with trivial sea-chicken jokes for days, but there's no denying the beauty of the actual creature in real life. This specimen was taken into custody during a government run sea-chicken bust in a northern-Guatemalan black market restaurant. Although slightly malnourished and in a mild state of shock, the sea-chicken (affectionatly known as William) is expected to make a full recovery.

Does he know a soccer ball named Wilson?
As is obvious in the photgraph, this sea-chicken has Wilson residing in it's gut. It turns out that sea-chickens have a habit of "nest-poaching" and will consume other chickens' eggs when establishing a new territory. Unfortunately, Wilson's shape and colour acted as a "super-stimulus" to this particular chicken, resulting in the consumption of said ball.

Oh dear.
