So im looking to upgrade my powervalves to more boss reliable stronger tougher manlier ones. Its kinda a major because better powervalves equals better reliability.
But for some odd reason its hard to get a hold of some decent reinforced ones, i want ones like the ones on rgv.co.uk the cougar powervalves. a whole set would be nice. I can see myself paying a bit. I dont trust ebay, no one can, the valves they sell on there will only make ur bike go when it sits at 9k+ Rpm,s so no thats useless....
These are perfect heard lots about them,, but where!
http://www.rgv250.co.uk/ffmvalves.htm
Interested.... very.
Kind regards,
Chance.

yeah i need some too. i have recently bout stuff from tuning works, i highly recommend them. took 10 days for a renthal sproket kit to get to me from the uk. two thumbs up. but i wud like to get power valves here if i can, and i also want to do a winter rebuild. forged lightweight pistons and rings, top set and maybe sum port work, where can you get good pistons from?

Tuning works got a mint race piston kit, i ur vj22's pv's are them lil ones replace the pins drill em out and get larger pins or pop vj21 pv's in thea as the pins are more tougher. Dont knw why js thicker, otherwise if ur nt hooning 24/7 then algud yr pv's should live. Rgv.co.uk is mint hit that uhp

Save your money, buy a top end rebuild set. You don't require those on your bike, heaps of info around on why not. Leave the txt speak at home; I for one skip over it, probably others too.

yer nah not so keen anymore after realising the vj21 powervalves are quite sturdy,, the pins are larger and thea 2 stage.. vj22 had the faults. so ive read anyway.

Hey some of us like being lazy. No harm in updating the weakest part of an RGV's engine to a more modern design.
I got mine for approx $900 NZD shipped from the UK. Bought them from The Tuning Works, and their service was impeccable, Shaun's a good dude who knows his RGVs back to front and upside down.

No harm in updating the weakest part of an RGV's engine to a more modern design.Well there's two things... he has a VJ21, and it doesn't matter if they're billet or not, you still need to strip them out of the bike to clean the carbon off of them. It's a pretty minor task, just one that needs to be done. Personally I actually enjoy looking after all of the little things, but not every one can or wants to maintain their high performance 250 (i.e. not a 4 stroke) correctly, thus they can give trouble.
