I was sent this article because of the comments about consumer awareness in respect of Insurance Company financial ratings.

I amazed to see the reporter drop this quote:

I only skimmed the article but decided it was a pile of horse shit when I read this:


it can make sense to use an insurance broker. They get commissions from insurance companies for placing business, and should act in the best interest of the client.

Another term for this arrangement is "kick back".
