Nice bike, I have one very similar which I also love. I'd say dont sell it, they're a modern classic! Must be a baby or a business huh?
I was wondering if you could tell me about the increased ride height you got out of yours. You got a shorter dog-bone from which model? I heard you can slot in a shock and dog-bone from a 04? and increase the height by 20mm? What did you do?

Initially I was advised to use 7075 t6 aluminium, but due to availability we went with 6061 and made it slightly thicker around the bushes. I'm completely confident that it is up to the job.

The total cost was less than $70. You can transfer the bushes, and do the changeover yourself if you are at all mechanically minded.

It is hard to say what difference the arm made as I'd completely re-done the suspension at the same time, but I can tell you that it totally transformed the bike, and I love the height. I'm amazed how versatile the suspension is once I got it dialled in; it's equally at home on bumpy back roads as it is at Hampton balling up the sidewalls, all on the same settings. Of course I only weigh 56 kgs which helps

Keep it? I'd love to, and might end up doing just that. Just trying to sort out my finances after taking a few hits. Let me know if you're ever over Hamilton way, be good to catch up.

cheers for that. I've since found out the dog bone linkage out of a 02-03 bolt straight in and give 20mm extra in the arse. Also the 02-03 shock has a 1kg more rated spring, the whole unit is lighter and also slots straight in to a 98-01.
good luck with the sale....
