I do like the tosh sellers write:
only 2 or 3 left.....clearly they are all for sale.
Good Investment : Bevel Heaven would agree...:innocent:
Nicest bevel to ride: obviously not as they have done bugger all miles on them.

I know where there's a 4th

In some ways the Darmah is much nicer to ride (at semi legal speeds) but obviously not as cool

Starting to sound like a Guzzi owner I know....:innocent:
I felt quite cool riding the Darmah around Hampton Downs ( waiting for it to explode...)....rubber bandy ones are more disposable.

Been looking at that blue one more closely
definately dodgy - looks like it might be a Darmah frame (curved down tubes) and apart from the wrong frame colour, note the passenger footpeg hanger - early (triangular) one side, later (trapezoidal) the other. Must have been one of 'those' days in the factory...

That's what the MHR Mille has

So your bike is like that too? different from side to side?
Does yours have the handle to help lift the bike onto the centrestand? - the TM one appears not to
The trapezoidal shape does seem to be an indicator of the later (large battery space) frame as used on the S2 and Mille - but I assumed the bike would be symetrical

The later MHR and S2 probably have more in common with the Darmah than the earlier SS...:innocent:
At least the early Darmah has a kickstart....

Yes

Not it doesn't

I like the dodgy blue one too. But what's all this about the frame Jim? Are you sure?
I thought the wee handle was an accessory anyway?
No expert me, I know what I like, and that Darrmah's are uncool

The front frame tube on a Darmah have a curve on them where they go down to the front engine mount
Personally I don't think there is anything wrong with the frame, if you check some pics of Darmahs and compare them it is different to a Darmah frame on those front downtubes
As for the rear footpeg/exhaust hangers being different side to side well the Mille ones are as well

I had a look in the garage and the Darmah front tubes do have a slight curve on them and the side stand bolts on there, apart from that they look much the same....
How quaint, a sports bike with a mainstand and no sidestand......
I don't think the engines with the hydraulic clutch were ever used in the Darmah.
Some Aussie will bid on it and take it offshore.... any guesses on reserve 10K?
239 Ducatis on TM......times have sure changed since the 80's........

But what's all this about the frame Jim?
Nothing "wrong" - I'm just trying to work out just what bike it is
But the colour is odd - MHR frame should be red
The MHR and SS share the same frame - which is not the same as the Darmah's. The easy wasy to diferentiate then is, as Kickaha says, the Darmah's down tubes are curved.
There are some subtle differences between MHR frame over the different years - the 83/84 has space for a bigger battery - done by squashing some of the tubes around the battery area. And then the last of the MHR's share the same frame as the S2 and Mille. The shape of the footpeg hanger is an indicator, but I wasnt aware that the later bikes are different from side to side - My 82 has triangular hangers.
The lift handle was standard on the 82/83 frame

My bike has both

I'd say around that, be interesting to see what it goes for as it needs to be stripped for a repaint if you're interested in originality
But the colour is odd - MHR frame should be red
Just in case you hadn't noticed the colour of the whole bike is "odd" :bleh:
Be nice if they did put up the complete engine number to confirm it but I'd be pretty sure from what I can see that it's the real deal
From memory when I had the bad taste to own a Darmah the frames are also wider at the rear and slope up slightly under the seat
Now what else is wrong with it
No airbox
LH sidecover has been cut out
Indicators
No speedo cable
Are those clipons the same as the earlier 900? they're different then the Mille
