I'm keen to get a DRZ400 but I want to know what events are possible to enter on it for some fun.
Is it possible to take it around Mt Wellington kart track? Just to do some time attacks/general fooling around.
Are there any racing classes to enter it into around Auckland?

As above, go ride one and see for yourself if you're having fun or not.
Here's a hint: you will be.

Take one std DRZ, Throw dunslops away, replace with Pilot Powers, replace exhaust with full system-yoshi etc, do 3x3 air box mod, replace air filter with DNA/KN,have carby rejetted, set suspension sags-proceed to have heaps of fun!!:woohoo:

Ok well I decided to get it and wow it's exceeding my expectations. Short 30 mins ride and facking loads of fun already. This makes so much more sense than a 600 etc.
Couldn't believe how easy it is to turn it hard. I thought I'd be puckering around bends with the soft dirtbike suspension but even with these shinko tyres you just lean it hard in, fire on the gas and the rear tyre scrambles so controllably. I'm really looking forward to the rain! Surprised at how easy it is to get comfortable with.
Boatloads of torque from 0 rpm and a mean sound to go with it. Surprised at how nice it was to fire to 100 and cruise there. These must be nuts down-geared a tooth or so. Very smooth, progressive clutch and brakes.
Just need to up the rear preload and it should be perfect.
Now... where are some indoor venues for doing stuff like this? What about kart tracks in Auckland?
