Off for a quick holiday in Surfers in July and was wanting to know if there are any good bike shops to visit, as you do, for accessories etc.
I've found Lawrence Drive in Nerang that looks like it has several bike shops - a bit like our own Barrys Point Rd.
Any other locations you know of?
Cheers

There is this place - it is located beside the motorway between Brisbane and the coast so a bit out of town.

I'd rented a bike but didn't take wet weather guy because Queensland is the sunshine state. Didn't look around extensively but there seemed to be lots of stuff in there.

I see you are a Suzuki owner so I would suggest having a look at Springwood Suzuki on Kingston Road at Slacks Creek about 40km north of Surfers. Biggest Suzi shop in Oz and a has everything. Take a look at www.springwoodsuzuki.com.au
p.s. take your wet weather gear:scooter:

There is a street with at least 3 or 4 bike/accessory shops somewhere between Brisbane and Gold Coast....couple of big places with lots of accessories.....Springwood seems familiar but I couldn't be sure...not helpful!!

Thanks macco-53
I'm sure the kids wont know the difference between Springwood Suzuki and Australia Zoo - yeah right. Looks worthy of a visit.

There is a suzuki shop at burleigh heads (gold coast suzuki) thats pretty good, I have just come back from a holiday and was dissapointed to what they had a couple of years ago but they are pretty helpful guys and will get what you want. Went to nerang and was really pissed off cause it was a waste of time, the shops had stuff all. Also the shops arent that cheap and by the time you convert in to nzd it can work out alot dearer. Checkout Bikegearwarehouse.com.au, anything you like on there order it when you over there and get it sent to where you are staying as it free shipping in aus most of the time.

Moss Street Springwood is the focal point for bike retailing in Brisbane, with Springwood Suzuki around the corner on Kingston Road.
I doubt you'll find much for sale here that you can't find in New Zealand and the value of the dollar must make most of it uneconomic anyway. Springwood Suzuki has helpful accessories people so it's worth a look.
