$3000 NO RESERVE
Up for grabs is my very well looked after and prized CBR 250 MC19,
I have owned the bike for 9 months and have never had a problem with it mechanically.
The bike has 13,000km and thats thirteen thousand km no typos(may increase as I ride it to keep it going strong) and it runs like a dream, the previous owner told me he brought it from honda otago with extremely low km's. I myself have put about 10,000 on the clock give or take.
I use this bike daily to commute from Mac bay to town, but she runs well on the open road as well, I have just returned from riding it to Blenheim and back, and she never skipped a beat.
The bike comes with an after market blue screen and after market mirrors, and an adjustable break lever.
Pro's
*Have just replaced the Oil and Oil filter 2,000km ago
*Has heaps of tread front and rear, Battle axe tyres
*Runs a dream on 95 octane with good economy
*Great learners bike
*For a 250 it will most likely out perform any other 250 on the current market
plus more
Con's
*Is highly addictive to ride.
Reason for selling:
I know own a Honda VFR400 NC30, so no longer need my wee baby.
If I can think of anything else I will try to add it, otherwise please feel free to ask questions, the bike can be viewed on most days.
Happy bidding!
-----------
I have contacted Bike Tranz, they quoted $480 including GST from Dunedin City to Auckland City so you can work off of that, will get a proper quote for the buyer.
------
Note: The Rego is Now on Hold, So the new rego for the new owner starts on the day of rego
Bike has a new WOF as of 18/05/2011

I had it listed at 4 for agesssss and had little interest then I dropped it to 3,500 and had piss all interest, I have dropped it to 3 and have had alot of Txts in regards to it, Had a young fella come look at it today, he made an offer last night but wanted to look first, they told me they will get back to me in a couple of days, but I would almost say it was a sale, the photos do no justice, its a love at first site bike.

yer bro looks mint. i would love one aye. ive never owned a four stroke in my entire life it was all two strokes. 2 stroke pits to 2 stroke road racers. Would like to rip one apart see how it works and fiddle with it. maybe find some way to increase performance. Not as easy a two stroke tho. still tho would be fuhn. plus they sound bad arse so itd be great just to cruise around being a loud cunt. Prob not as fast but meh sounds mint.

Yup probably 91 was just the year it was first registered (happens here all the time, 07/08 models registered as 08/09/10).
You're not getting interest because its 4k for an mc19. Prices of the cbr250's have come down a little, I had a look over summer and there were low km mc22's going for 3k, and the mc22 has always been a bit more expensive/highly prized than the 19...

I call bullshit. Quite aside from that road being 50 and 70 zones full of traffic at peak times, you do not ever average 140 along there.

I dont know how well it works in the dark, but when I buy another SD card (should be saturday) I will record my ride to work,
at 6am in the morning there is NO Traffic, and pleaseeee Use your eyes, I said,

Its funny how the gods of the world cant seem to read,
And I think I put 91 on KB but its an 1989 I think the TM link is 89, I got confused with my 400 I think.

he travels that road usually at 6am or earlier, and 8pm or later, WAY outside peak times.
Not difficult to keep a very high average speed on that road at all. Ive seen vids of people doing 240km/hr on parts of that road on youtube. Macandrew bay to Dunedin isnt a tight section of road, its quite swoopy and open. I dont see an average of 130 being too tough at all.

Well at the moment it is, unless you enjoy power sliding over gravel ..
Although the clay thats over the road in the wet gets kinda cool when you over take people :L

Uh sorry I didnt reply to this,
Yes I have had more interest now that I have dropped the price, I have had an offer, they wanted to check it out first so they came by yesterday to check it out, and will get back to me in a couple of days, I have a feeling they will try offer lower, but it will be declined as I have had an offer slightly lower also. But I cant see them not buying it either.

If you post a video on youtube with an average speed of 140 along that section of road I'll withdraw my call of bullshit. I might even be impressed. To be quite clear, that's from the bridge across the inlet to Greenacres St in 3 mins 7 seconds.

Would be extremely close I usually get to work in under 5mins and I slow down when I get to the bridge to the speed limit.
and thats 140 indicated just to make that clear. give or take 0 - 10%. But If i can find my old phone with my GPS data on it, I will also happily upload that so you can see my route and average speed. That is how I got my average speed with my 250 on the same road.
