View Full Version : Rego identification
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone can help me out finding details from a registration number.
Yesterday at Kirkwood Intermediate School there was a Korean event. I was in charge of parking and someone deliberately rammed through a chain barrier (which was blocking the access to the rear school field). I have the registration but couldn't identify the driver.
Carjam ain't used to be. If someone can help me identify the owner of the vehicle (preferly an address too so that we (Korean Society of Christchurch) can send him a letter) it'll be really great.
PM me please if you can help.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

you were in charge of parking, you arent a fucking police officer. if a wrong has been committed, pass the details on to the cops and let them do their job you knob

Watch your tone. I never said I'm going to be a hero. I wanted to help the community that's all.

You used to be able to go to a post office ... pay $9.50 (or thereabouts) and get the "home" address of a rego plate ...

What you going to do though, arrest them? The best a TC can do is record the details and tell the Police, as has been suggested to the OP.

Watch your tone. .
No. pass on info. walk away. if you chase the guy up yourself, you arent going to come off as a nice community minded dude looking out for others, you'll come across as a wanna be hero, and get told to fuck off anyway.
Let the cops do their thing.

I'll leave it to the police as I said earlier. However I do not appreciate your saying before, telling me as if I've done something wrong. I'm not in the best mood tonight, and I'm saying you could've said it in a nicer way.
The school will report to the cops tomorrow and ask us a few questions (since when we hired the facility, it was our responsibility) then we will go from there.

To be 100% honest with you EJK, I dont think you should have posted the details of the car, it would be like me posting your home number and address and not putting a name,
For all you know that car is some poor fuckers car that got nicked and some knob jockey decided to be a tosser with it, someone who may or may not know the car and number plate may just as well know the person who at this stage may have their car back, which could indeed cause a misunderstanding, Or Community hate as it were.
"I do not appreciate your saying before, telling me as if I've done something wrong. I'm not in the best mood tonight"
Tough shit.

Well I'm on EJK's side and think what he has asked is nothing unreasonable. Lol honestly you lot need to get off your fucking high horses and give him a break you keyboard warriors. What was the need to be so rude? There are a whole myriad of reasons why you wouldn't want to call the cops and besides he is representing a Korean Church; I'm sure it's not in his interests to go tear someone's door down. Unbelievable the reactions from some of you, pull your heads in!
It's a simple question, it's something that we all were not part of and have no idea about and suddenly you lot start jumping to assumptions thinking you can act on behalf of his mother? Lol fuck off you old crusties.

Correct yes,
But good intentions or not, I dont think it is wise to publicly announce someone's details,
Especially somewhere Joe public can see.
