Hi all,
24 years ago I got a brandnew Impulse, a year after I had it a dickhead from Hamilton City Council pulled a u-turn right in front of me on Victoria St... wrote it off.

Wind the clock 24 years up to today, I now have another Impulse. This one's the dark blue version, different to the white I had, but it still sounds the same and goes the same. Wind up the throttle and hang on! Mind you, now I'm older and more responsible etc so less of that :)

I notice now being older that the seat hasn't got any more comfortable. The Impulse's seat that is.

Keen to hear from anyone in the forum who has an Impulse, particularly in the Wellington region.

cheers!

Hiya Barno. Im not from wellington....and I dont have an impulse - but welcome to the forums!

I had an impulse about 20 years ago too - my very first inline 4 bike - replaced a GS400 twin. Fond memories - more of being a young fella and Hooning, than of the actual bike....but fine memories lol.

Great little bikes! I did around 22,000km on mine and loved it! That howl at 11,000rpm eh?

If it wasn't for the damn rego fees (and 2 bikes and a car in the shed), I'd love to do one up and use it for work...

Yeah, I remember at high revs it used to scream like... like a... like one of those Upper Hutt girls in FMBs lol

Now of course the only screaming is when the kids get within a metre of the bike!:woohoo:
