Ive got my car for sale on trademe (86 cressida $2000) and some dude has offered to swap me a 2006 zongshen 250cc vtwin cruiser... Ive owned 17 jap bikes over the years, i never thought id consider owning a chinese bike (especially a cruiser), but now i am... as the cressida is getting tired and bloody expensive to run i want a cheap commuter just til spring time when im buying CBR600RR or similar.
Considering the car is 20 years older and has done 250000km, i think it would be a good wee money saver... Does anyone own 1 or have info on engine reliability?
I wont thrash it but the pegs will take a scraping no doubt

will be fine. They are a cheap copy of a jap motor.
But won't last anymore than a couple of years i imagine as they are made on the cheap.
But 1 year should be fine.

It's lasted 5 years already.
How much more do you think can be squeezed out of it?
there is probably some guy on a forum somewhere asking how long a 86 cressida will last

Well my RG lasted 4 years. But my Haier washing machine lasted 8.
So 2 more years will be fine.
