The Security Intelligence Service Amendment Bill gives the SIS explicit authority to use modern technology for surveillance, such as electronic tracking devices. (http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/top-stories/9459887/sis-bill-reported-back-with-minor-changes/) Security and Tracking for who? People of concern?
 This place is seriously fucked up... but it's for our own good

now now put your head back in the sand and keep think that as long as you do nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about. You can trust the government and all future governments and their agents. :corn:
After all it is RWC year you are meant to be only thinking good all NZ rugby racing and beer, except don't drive after the beer and spend your money on lotto not racing. :shit:

Mind you Mrs NH does get a bit pithy if I try it while her favorite TV programme is on.....

Another Famous Dead guy , with an awesome Name , Lysander Spooner , said something along the lines off , that by default our social contract with the government is broken , as it can Never be through, free will ( where both parties enter into a binding agreement through mutual consent )
because as soon as one party tries to remove themselves from the contract the other will enforce it through violent measures

Ties in with the Internet laws etc quite nicely too,so woe betide(?) those who have ever looked at porn & other "objectionable" sites & who at some point may like to take the Empire to task.....so thats me fucked for a start.
They say its for our own security that such laws are needed.Well maybe if people wernt so desperate or marginalised we wouldnt have people doing naughty shit.
Why dont they pass a real law like limiting Foreign ownership FFS

Yeah .. that's what some average law-abiding Moslems thought - until they found themselves in Gaunatanamo Bay ... (and before ya all get on your high horses .. check out just how many people they've let go from Gitmo because "there was no evidence of any terrorist activity" ...)

..No right to silence
..Domestic spying by 3rd parties
..3 day 'fishing' trips for the police who can spy on you with no warrant whatsoever
..The media losing their right to protect sources.
The Government are setting to pass the largest erosion of civil liberties ever passed in NZ and from the country......five eights of fuck all!
Yet.....
Do you know what the police definition of a gang is for these powers?
3 people who know each other!
But.....
if you do nothing wrong you've got nothing to fear....
Kiwis, eh....

LOL.
Who gives a flying fuck how much technology our SIS are getting.
Hopefully they can pull their weight in future on the world CT front, lord knows they arent using much of their resources on the Home front......
Even with the current amount of information / resources they have, theyve recently clearly demonstrated a lack of ability to actually do anything with it.
Dont beleive me - ask Mr Wilce.....you can beleive him.
