For sale is a 1998 model NX4 Honda RS125 GP racing bike.
This bike is one of the Moto Academy NZ fleet and as such has been very well maintained and looked after.
It is an ex-All Japan championship bike originally imported into NZ by Motomart in Lower Hutt around 2003-04.
It was used to good effect during the 2010 VMCC season to 2nd place and was used over the NZSBK summer season as our rain bike for Hafiq Azmi from Malaysia. He raced it in the rain at Teretonga Circuit to two almost race wins!
The engine has polished and matched cases, VHM two piece cylinder head with 10.4cc head as engine is set up to run on Av-Gas, power-jet carburetor. Bike has over-radiator airbox and 'ram-air' air intake and larger Movistar Honda Pedrosa style fairings (Just Fairings in Hamilton has the moulds to make spares if necessary).
Other value-add parts include Talon sprocket carrier, TiN coated front fork tubes, double bubble screen, carbon reeds and frame and axle crash knobs.
Bike will come with a bare set of set up spares (jets, a couple of sprockets) and a rear stands. No spare wheels.
Forks and rear shock were serviced in 2010 by Crown Kiwi Technical, standard valving. Springs will be matched to buyer as close as I am able.
This is a good, reliable and fast enough bike for any budding or established young racer wanting to step up from Buckets or Streetstock racing. Bike would be competitive at National Level with all but the newest and fastest bikes. Could easily be upgraded to be among those fastest bikes.
And best of all, it is ready to gas up and go for at least a club racing season. (No guarantee is offered or implied in that statement).
