Photographer was www.jackijane.com - she should have some awesome shots from inside Turn 3.
I've emailed her so will let you know what the deal is.

Sweet, cheers. Maybe I should have cleaned the barge before taking it round the track. Heh.

I called into Hampton for a couple of hours and took a few pix. I must say I was impressed with the place, awesome layout for spectators and the undulating track must be so cool to ride, wish I was 18 again.....

Great photos dude. I dont often see many of me because I dont get much time on track, usually running course control.

Really enjoyed a day out with the camera and NO dust! Might have to make it a habit. Who was the rider on the yellow R1? Impressive :gob:

He was probably the most spectacular, but not the fastest. Jaden was testing Dunlops (he's never ridden on them before) and the litre bikes couldn't get close.

would have to beg to differ on that one......jadden is quick but the guy on the yellow gixxer was faster....he pulled jadden in and past him round the track....was watching at few different spots around the outside of the track....

Jaden overtook me more times in a session than the R1 and I saw him stuff it up the inside of the R1 at turn 5 (had a great view of it 30m behind them). The R1 might've been faster earlier but not once Jaden started to push as he figured out the Dunlops.

My initial suspicion was that the bike was riding itself, but then I saw a small helmet poking out from the side.
I think it would prefer the name truck, than barge... :innocent:

It was only on the ride home that I thought I shoulda looked out for a guy with grey side pods on his Arai.
It was a neat day - I thoroughly enjoyed the track and think the guys and gals have the ride days well set up :)

Cool how he would simply launch out of the tight corners, not a standard R1 me thinks....
I really shouldn't have had a look, I used to road race in the '70s and found myself looking at track day bikes on trade-me. Must resist, must resist

Definitely not a standard R1. I had a chat to the owner the previous track day (on the 14th), and he told me the bike was originally purpose-built for a visiting Aussie racer 2–3 years ago.
By the way, thank you to you photographers — I've bought a few and I'm looking forward to receiving them sans-watermark. :D

I think that used to be Gareth Jones bike. Although I don't remember it being so wheelie prone or twitchy into corners. But that's a different riding style I guess.

Who rides the yellow R1 with the number 8 on it - that dude needs to be filed under A for AWESOMENESS!!!!!
His name is Handsome John and he has only been riding for a year. If you think you were witness to 'AWESOMENESS' at HD, you haven't seen anything. You should see him at Pukekohe......doing 59s on a rear tyre with the chords showing and pulling stand-up, one foot wheelies, while blowing kisses!
Oh.....and he kicks around with that try hard 888 racing dude.

jaden took a few session to get the bike set up new tyres and not his bike he was faster in the afternoon
