I overtighted my oil drain plug on my YZ125 and cracked the case a little bit  and now its seeping oil (also stripped the thread!)
Anyone know a good repair for the crack? Anyone used that quick metal stuff or knwow whether it will work?

One option is to split the cases and get and engineering shop to tig weld it but i dont want to pull the engine apart if i can find a cheap fix that stop oil seeping.
Surely this has happened to someone else and there is a fix for it (please please please)

I recommend a lobotomy.

Sounds like you should take it to the engineers, pain in the arse i know but is the best bet in the long run.Minuit mend or similar may hold it for a little while but it is not worth the risk of seizing your motor through lack of oil.Use a little less muscle next time.

if it was me id just dump the oil, wash some of the left over oil out with diesel, weld the crack from the outside with the cases still together and put a helicoil in the stripped thread, if it still leaks after that then id split the case

Aparently it could crack further if i did that without welding both sides. But its an option

Yep (fixed that for you)
Since the weld will likely be a bit porous, rough the case up for 25mm all round the weld and smear a light layer of silicon over everything.
Invest in a dowty washer (metal washer with built in o-ring) to go under the drain bung to cure you of the temptation to nip things too tight and dring the bung so you can lock wire it to stop it coming loose.

forgot to say grind the crack out before welding too

+1. Take it to an engineer and get it welded up properly, and heli-coiled.
Better to have 3 weeks of pain than stuck for a day in the middle of no where with a seized up motorbike and no one to help.
