Just wondering what people use to clean the inside of their brake calipers from the brake dust and other junk (i.e. pistons etc...) when changing their pads? Would Kerosene work fine?

Yeah that or petrol, let it soak for a few hours.

only ever use brake fluid to clean brake parts......
or "brake clean" solvent which leaves no residue.
DONT use petrol etc......

No way bro, it'll be sweet, it's not like we've discussed it hundreds of times before as anyone who's not lazy with the search page could tell you

Well said.
Brake clean is the only answer. Anything else leaves a mineral residue on your brakes just waiting to reduce the brakes effectiveness.
Spry them liberally and leave to dry. Job done!

Does anyone have any brake cleaner/solvent product recommendations, which would do the job a lot better than Kerosene?

each to their own and all that....

Thanks for your contribution :motu:Stop being a lazy cunt and read the detailed posts that have come before. They'll explain why BrakeKleen isn't something you can just apply without danger to the brakes.
Or maybe we should have this thread every single time some dick head wants to clean his brakes?

 ahhuh  Some want to ride their bikes and get quick advice, some like to search threads and gather information. Some are too dumb to work the search efficiently and some are too lazy though if they are doing their own maintenance they can't be that lazy.
