creature

Hi fellow bikers,
CREATURE has just bought a new leather jacket 1.4mm thick leather. smells like new leather looks like new leather (cause it is) but is also as stiff as new leather. CREATURE would appreciate any advice you could give on how i could, well, soften it up a bit so it is not quite so stiff, or will this just occur naturally with wear? CREATURE would appreciate your thoughts.

Creature should simply wear his jacket in.

Creature should jump off his mighty steed at 100kph plus to give it that 'lived in' look.
New real leather is not stiff...creature should take it back.
What brand is it?

CREATURE should desist from referring to CREATURE in the the third person.
The only thing gayer, would be being caught handcuffed around a public toilet bowl, an apple stuffed in your mouth and George Michael administering an epic caneing to your exposed cheeks while Boy George documents the event on a handicam.

You owe me a new keyboard, this one is dripping in coffee. Funniest comment I have read in a while - congrats.
Also Beren thinks that CREATURE should stop talking in the third person also. Beren has heard that taking a leak into stiff leather boots softens them up and wonders if it would work for your jacket. (Warm water apparently works as well but is far less funny.)

Ducatilover agrees, Ducatilover only has one week of Honda ownership left so he will make the most of it.

1.4 is quite thick, and it will be stiff for a while. Treat it with something from the bike shop or hunting shop to soften it a bit and keep a bit of water out..for a while anyway. water or urine probably wont help a lot, but I guess you could try?
Mostly you just have to tough it out and wear it lots. Bodyheat and wear will force it into your shape fairly quickly.

Hmmm, it may well be that it could take quite a while. My first leather jacket was a gorgeous red Suomy - I loved it - but it never really felt all that comfortable. I wore it nearly every day but even now when I put it on it feels stiff. Actually, come to think of it, I should put it on and see whether in fact it is the armour that makes it so stiff... My current M2R blue one was also quite hard initially but that has softened nicely over time.
As for stiffies, don't have any problem with them myself...

Mom, has a bit of a soft spot for a stiffy
Thicker the better, but makes it stiffer in the end. Lots of stroking and rubbing with suitable lubricant, creams and lotions, and lots of close contact with your body will help resolve the stiffness, to a nice supple yumminess.

Hey Creature,
One understands your dilema. One would suggest prchasing from a suitable establishment of salable consumables a tube/jar/bottle of Leather conditioner. One would pass on advice given to One when a tailored leather jacket was purchased for self. Avoid synthetic based leather treatments, leather needs 'feeding'. So if One can offer futher advice to Creature, One would suggest a Saddlery or if there is not one nearby, Olive oil was the alternative suggestion. THIS was given by the maker of said Leather jacket. It is a natural oil and will feed and soften the leather.

Sure it will Mom, but it wont resolve his problem with the stiff jacket!:innocent:

Stiffy's like soft spots very much, i like to wax mine up before a long day, especially if the stiffy looks like it will be getting wet, still trying to figure out why i have logos on there though? maybe too much alchohol one night lol

The question has come up about why CREATURE refers to himself as a third person, well quite simply, why the fuck not. :whocares: we all have 2 faces in life some have more, 1 that we wear in private and 1 that we wear in public. CREATURE has at least 3, the way CREATURE talks on this web page makes him unique if you dont like it then go cry to your mummy about it cause CREATURE doesn't give a shit. if you are the sort of dumbass that likes to change people to suit them i would imagine your also divorced or one day will be. so fuck you very much, but CREATURE will maintain his personality on this page. to all my fellow bikers who like CREATURES personality or simply dont give a shit CREATURE is proud to know you. For what little time CREATURE has left to ride :scooter: CREATURE says  to his fellow brother and sister bikers, and CREATURE will love you whatever your personality. i hope you do the same

Chuck it in a bucket of Luke warm water or give it a coating of Leather Oil.
I got a 5 litre can of the stuff if ya want a lend.
