Anyone else been following this series?

Without a doubt one of the best shows I've ever watched. Up to episode six at the moment and it just keeps getting better.

If you like blood and guts, nudity, incest (come on I know you do too), foul language, bad ass sword fights and amazing scenery, this is for you.

Yep, bloody good series. If you're looking for something new to watch, can't recommend Game of Thrones (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_of_Thrones_(TV_series)) enough.

What's it like compared to Spartacus: Blood and Sand/ Gods of the Arena. Cause I enjoyed both very much. If it is in the similar category (blood, guts, violence, adult "interaction" and nudity) then might check it out :yes:

Haven't seen Spartacus but it does contain all of those essential ingredients.

Yeah not bad, not as good as the TV rips but looks alright, of course I haven't slapped it up on the 46" screen at home yet, so it might piss me off yet!

Its 740X420 @ 862kbps (410MB) whereas the TV rips I've had are 624x352 @ 1334kbps (550MB)

If ya got a big screen, you really need HD rips. Anything else looks just horrible in comparison. Any HDTV episode rip should be at least 1.46GB, 1280x720.

Lucky for me I don't even own a TV. I don't think I can hold off for the HD rip. It's just that good.

Watched the first two, now I'm in middle of 3rd. Not bad! I like it! But no doubt (yet, for now), Spartacus' got more boobs and blood.

Just watched the last episode of the first series last night. Bloody brilliant :D I hope they continue to break the mould of the standard story line of "good always triumphs over evil".

Don't want to give away too much as there's nothing worse than already knowing what's going to happen.

It's gonna be a long wait for the next series :(

I just finished watching the first season with my wife. She loved it from the first episode and insisted on getting the books. Both of us are halfway through the 3rd book now and this series is certainly the best stuff I've read in a long time. Now we get to wait another year for the next season...

I'm gutted this season is over. Things were just getting started too. Haven't enjoyed a TV series as much as this since MTV's Scarred.

I have never seen a tv or film adaptation of a book that was anywhere near as good as the book
regardless of the quality of the book, or lack thereof.

still, that is quite possible, I am fussy about what I read.

I watched the TV series, then read the book, very very close and very well done.
The rest of the books get worse as it goes on as if he had no idea how to finish and just ran out of ideas.

I've decided to not read the books on this one, cos it is a damn good series, and there are plenty of other good books to read, but not so many good series.

You reckon? Nothing happened. Most interesting bit was Tyrion learning his father hates his guts. That little guy is the best thing about the whole series. That and the nudity.

(Spoiler alert)

The Tyrian part was harsh but amazing. I thought the episode was great. We saw a giant, a dragon catch and cook it's own food, a dude get his nipple cut off and not bat an eyelid etc. I just hate having to wait a whole seven days to see another episode.

Actually it gets worse. there are seven books, I have read them all, and still nothing happens. biggest pile of pants I have even had the misfortune to read.
In one book they are a hero next a villain and vise versa then he starts with a whole new set of characters and you go "hang on what happened to the others"
Like you said, at least there is nudity in the TV series.
