This year's ride looks like the most scenic one yet.
3rd Southern Rider Escapade - 2011
The Escapade is a bike road rally with a slight difference. You are given a a route to take and a questions sheet, and a long this route you must answer questions the given on a questions. You then return the question sheet with your answers. Then your badge is sent out to you after the close off date for completing the Escapade. If you do no complete answer sheet or return it etc you do not get a badge.
The dates are not set in stone for a weekend that you do it on. You have from 1 September 2010 till 30th November 2010, a period of 3 months to complete. You can do it in your own time, by yourself or with a group. You can do it in one go or a couple of days and make it a holiday away. You can do it in any order you like as long as you get all the questions and send back the answers to us before the 30th November.
This year I can tell you it is going south, down through the Catlins and the full Southern Scenic route round to Milford Sound and zig zag our way back.
