How's everyone looking for the 19th?

Just putting out there for minds greater than my own to the idea of having a rain day officially called requiring treaded (not necessary weta) tyres be required to used?

All going well, should be there, barring natural disasters.

It could rain, we get wet, I chicken out and watch some racing. All good. I get to be mobile chicane in B grade as I'm guessing no C grade lol. And yip, will have van full with stuff for delivery along the way.

No thanks, I don't have treaded tyres.
And why would that matter?

I can probably bludge a groover for the weekend for anyone without wets, prepared to carve up a set of tyres and too scared to race on slicks if the weather gets inclement.
Or we could settle things with a round of Kaitoke the board game.

In my honest opinion... I don't find slicks to have thaaat much less grip than treaded road tires. The rain is shit and slippery and if you want to get your knee down wets are the only way to go really (unless you're a tall bastard like Adrian). With a bit of patience and control you can lap faster than you think on slicks in the rain, it's just less fun and sliding generally ends in a crash.
In a way I think having wets is safer because slides are a little more manageable if they happen, but it also means you're going faster thus faster crashes. I personally don't think treaded tires should be mandatory for wet racing at the kart track, we aren't reeeally going fast enough to do serious damage (although I have been trying my best with this). Wets are more fun though haha.

Softies! Malcolm is my hero, he rides with slicks in the wet without a problem. Ok a few crashes but lets face it; he looks better than all you other fulla's out ther! ;)

Na, no way.

If anything ban wets altogether then we don't have to spend as much to be on an even footing.

Its never an even playing field. Its motor racing. We may just have to suck it up and keep the progression that is happing in wellington alive. It sure will help people that plan to race in other parts of the country where they don't cry about the weather.

found a little movie from when we were pansies.

Now we're talking. Heck we could do this if it's dry  -instead of this messy racing stuff where you get all sweaty. Yueek.

Oh yeah - if anyone wants to come play the infamous 'Kaitoke - The Board Game' on the sat night before the next round let us know.

Please be warned that there will be a couple of Aucklanders staying with us.

I was tempted to come over for a game, until I heard about the Aucklanders.

Good.

Bert, you go and play daft drinking games with Str8

We know where we aren't welcome, so we'll go and stay with Koba and settle in for a civilised wine tasting, have a bottle or two (or three) lined up ready to go.

I take it you're in then, I'll lay in a botle of port as a back up in case we run out of wine. We'll need it for the apexes anyway.
