I cant wait :) I had 3 trail rides cancelled over the past few weeks, last one was Bugger the boss that I took time off for so I am sooOOOO looking forward to this one!!
I have a light on my bike that kinda and kinda does not work :P It is driving me nuts, poor bulb contacts that I am struggling to cure for some reason.

I second the general opinion that the Redwoods rides are farking awesome. Done a few, trying to convince a bunch of town-dwelling mates that driving more than an hour for a ride is actually worth it, so hopefully will make a few more...

Sounds like it will be quite the turn out :) I hope I get a chance to fit my bush guards tomorrow :) Nice shiny new red ones. Will be my first trail ride since over 10 years and first real ride on my newly rebuilt CRF230 :)

Not really, just tends to drain better than dirt, so bad weather isn't as much of an issue. Still can get pretty sloppy if it's really wet though.
Enjoy the ride Leyton!

from memory its mostly clay, but it all depends on what part of the forest hes useing, regardless of what track hes useing its going to be slippery

two very different trails, plenty of mud, massive hill climbs. Plenty of traction
A bloody good ride and very well run, thanks to the guys from Trail Ride NZ
cant wait for Atamuri in November.

Right.. I can answer my own question now :)
Clay, Lots of Mud, Ruts all a good challange for a n00b such as myself but I had a real good time :) Well organised ride, good people.
Now my poor lil engine needs new rings, it was smoking the trail on the downhills LOL :( Learnt heaps for next time :)
Cheers all!!!
Little photo, classic!. Looking out from a blackberry bush. I had to carefully drag myself out of that LOL!

that was cool, quite greasy in parts, huge long uphills, slippery downhills, managed 2 loops of the NO.1 track, and 3 loops of the NO.2 track. near the end of the day the ruts were causing some people a few headaches,
