He has tennis elbow.
He said on 3 news 5 mins ago that it is 'real bad but good enought to hit with!'
so he cant play tennis, but he can box (or receive a few punches suppose you dont need elbows for that) im over paying tax to fund people who dont want to work

But, but, but he was "busy" with boxing training and making an album.

Would you get in the ring with SBW for the reported payout of 6G ?
It'd take a bit more than that for me.....he may well be an ACC client afterward.

from nzherald
Liava'a, who's also working on an album of gospel music, first went on the sickness benefit because of a problem with his voice, then his doctor told Work and Income he couldn't work because of his elbow injury.
- NZPA
The real question is WTF is work and income using my tax dollars for . Fatso is just a paracite pure and simple . Good he has been "outed" ..... fat prick

The bit that I find hilarious is that SBW is only good enought to fight a sickness beneficary........ must be a great boxer!

What I would really like to know is "how long has he been on the benefit for these injuries"?
The "vocal injury" and also the "wanker's elbow"?

But he is working now isn't he? pro boxer and a musician, are they not jobs/careers?
Maybe he should be congratulated for getting off the benefit instead of it becoming his lifestyle. A lot don't even try.

The first fight is against a fat Pub Drunk, and now the second is against a Fat WINZ rip off artist. :woohoo:...what a fight it will be...NOT!
Wish the guy would piss off back to league...or fight someone who might actually hurt him!

Wouldn't you say yes to a fight if they gave u a muppet opponent and promised you a cheque for $200,000 or whatever? I dunno how much but it's "enough to donate $100,000 to the quake appeal". Agree that it probably won't be worth watching though.

Well I am a "boxing fan" so won't be watching this "fight" but i will be interested in the outcome, as always!
To SBW's credit, he does accept that he has no amateur experience or preparation, so as a professional sportsman he has to rake another path!
He will need to wind his way through these deadbeat opportunities in order to progress through the ranks!
This can be a very dangerous pathway, because a lucky punch from a weak opponent can be very career destroying, he has to maintain credibility to entice fans to "pay" money to watch him!
Good luck SWB, I think you are going to need it!

And his inexperience showed the other night when he was sparring with David Tua.
Had it been an actual fight his head would still be rolling around on the canvas.
His opponent might be fat and old, but he still managed to go the distance with Bob Mirovic (losing on points). I don't think he will be the easy-beat that the media is making him out to be, though he won't have the fitness to keep up with Sonny Bill in the later rounds.

Back in the fifties I watched a middle weight bout between Jimmy Ripply and Bob Wilson in the Wellington Town hall.
Jimmy Ripply totally outclassed Bob Wilson for the entire 10 round bout except for the final few seconds.
Wilson caught Ripply with a stray punch and knocked him out clean as a whistle!
It's never over until the fat lady sings.
SBW should just use his athleticism and superior condition to avoid his opponent until such time as he can use what little "fighting skills" that he has learned to use the opposition as a punching bag!
At this stage he should always be aware of the Bob Wilson factor!
IMHO, if SBW has any future in boxing he should clinically KO this guy, clean as a whistle.
Interesting.

Sonny Bill is a fucking joke, who couldnt fight his way out of a ppaer bag.
He has NEVER fought anyone worthy or professional status, nor has he ever put on a performance deserving of him being called a professional.
His latest opponent is a man who is 21cm shorter and 18 years older than SBW. He also currently has an alleged injury which is so bad he cannot source work, and he has lost his last 7 fights in a row.
SBW youre a fucking joke, and I hope this numpty midget knocks you out and shows you up for the fucking joke you are.

It's not SBW's fault he's fighting a guy on the sickness benefit.
He couldn't find anyone on the invalid's benefit to have a go. And the wheelchairs are a bastard to get into the ring.

doubt it, isnt the guy a Pacific Islander? Hone only helps one sort of dusky skinned native. Yep, himself.
Williams is fit, but I want to see him fight a fighter. He would get pasted.
I've finally found a boxing gym to replace my boxing fitness classes. Hopefully it is OK because I am turning into a fat little man.

they need to set him up against someone on the methadone programme. Put SBW between her and her dose, see how that goes. I'd pay to see it.

I felt so vindicated when last night on telly the dude (former boxing commissioner or something I think he was) said he was 'unimpressed' with SBW as a boxer, and suggested he take up ballet instead hahaha!

What do you mean "turning into"
They aren't going to let SBW go up against a decent opponent because SBW would get hammered so they will give him a bunch of half arsed opponents he can easily beat
Anthony MundAne (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=mundane) was saying something about having another fight, I thought he said if one of the guys off "The Contendor" beat him he'd hang up his gloves then he got floored by Garth Woods
who else thinks that Mundine and Matthew Ridge are similar cockheads

yeah, theyre certainly not helping his image with all this bullshit, he's a joke. Which makes me even more want the unlikely to happen, and se sbw get smashed by an even bigger numpty than himself.

Ok right.
I dont think too highly of mundine either, i recall a fight between him, and a Kiwi bloke a couple years back, the kiwi was a real short bloke, who smashed the fuck out of mundine for 12 rounds. when the announced mundine as the winner, I thought there was going to be a fucking riot, I was screaming at the telly. Incidentally, the later had a rematch, which mundine did win fairly.
That asie, he is still an arrogant little cunt, I get some joy out of seeing him get a good punishing!
Edit: the Kiwi bloke Im thinking of was Sean Sullivan, short little cunt that went at him lke a pitbull

i didnt catch the name, but that sounds familiar.
Kickaha, you were right, Mundine was KO'd by Garth Wood in the 5th round, after a decidedly average four preceeding rounds,on december 8th last year, then beat him in the rematch in April this year by unanimous points decision
