I hope the crowd dont get too full on and potentially ruin the race!
Many instances in the past of unruly behaviour causing concern for race organisers.
Do ya recon he'll keep a low profile or take it to them?

nah, once he gets on track race-mode will take over and it'll be business as usual I reckon...
If Sic bins, the crowd will explode in a blaze of Spanish ecstasy.
If Sic bins someone else, the crowd will explode in a ball of Spanish rage.

Yes indeed a bunch of cool results. I feel for Simo though. It's looked like his bike dropped a cylinder off the line.
Terol could and should've backed off. That was a cynical move from a seasoned campaigner to avoid being beaten on the last corner. Zarco stuck it under him and held it nicely very early on in the piece. That was a hard but fair pass IMO.

There was nothing clean and fair about that pass from ZARCO.
He picked his bike up and run the guy off the fucken track when he clearly could have kept his line and left room for Terol to stay on track, the only problem with that is he would not have won so he actually turned into him so he had no room. Very Dirty and good call from race direction:woohoo:

Bollocks.
Terol left a huge gap and could easily have conceded. "Fault" on both parties. Racing has gone soft IMO. 20 years ago if Rainey and Schwantz behaved like that they were hard men. Now everyone blubbers about it being "dangerous".

Zarco didn't need to lean into Terol. Standard MX move but a big call at that speed and could have killed Terol. I don't blame him though. I see we agree. Zarco's move was deliberate but I suspect on reflection he regrets it. Penalty was fair. Sofoglu stuffed up and I'm certain he regrets it as well, he has been quite emotional in the past. These guys are at the top of their sport and are trying very hard to do well. That to me, makes it facinating to watch, and envious. It would be a fantastic event to attend, 85000 fans and all that Spanish flair. Definately on my bucket list, along with the Italian meetings.

But serioulsy, Have you ever done any road racing? Serious question??
I agree it makes the racing great to watch and he had made a good pass on that last corner but the way in which he finished the move was very deliberate and dangerous and unfair, he only done this IMO because he new he wouldnt get to the line first so he shoved him off the track.
you say Terol should have backe off? Why should he there was plenty of track slash ripple strip there for the both of them untill Zarco picked his up and gave him the shove.

Half agree. Terol was a muppet and should have lost from taking a defensive line into the final corner. If zarco hadn't of so blatantly pushed terol off the track he probably would have still won. In the end it was dangerous though and pushing terol onto the grass like that could have caused a pretty nasty crash. Terol didn't ride very smartly though and should have lost cause zarco was willing to put it closer to the limit and that deserves reward in my book.

I was at the race yesterday and the 125's were definately the highlight. My seat was in the stadium area (the triple right before the main straight) and the crowd was going nuts. I dont think there were too many that were upset at the correct final result. Probably due to the fact a spaniard still won.
Surprisingly there seemed to be a lot of support for simo. Everytime he appeared on the big screens or rode past there were definately more cheers than jeers. Stoner on the other hand seemed to get the silent treatment.
The circuit de catalunya is a fantastic spectators track with great facilities and it would be hard to find a more passionate crowd.
Between the Moto2 and MotoGP a Moto3 bike did a few laps and it was clearly slower than the 125's. Bad news ditching the 125 class.

Torel missed his apex , Zarco had a gap to go for , Torel was forced wide ( he missed his apex ) then Torel sticks his knee into zarco , Zarco stand his bike up , Torell leans into zarco
Szarco leans ( a little ) into torel
They were both as bad but zarco should have taken that due to torels bad apex
if anything Zarco could have used too much track , but he was on the limit ,
Even if Zarco was wrong a 20 sec penalty is just plain wrong

It looked to me as if he had sufficient time and track to let the other guy back onto the track after the rumble strip rather than forcing him to take the grass. It was just a bit dirty, he could've made the epic pass for the win without doing that last bit.

They keep going on and on (Jules and co) about Yamahas being better through the turns and the Hondas having all the power. Bollocks to that... Yamaha have spent a decade on Ohlins. Now that Honda have the Ohlins advantage, and still the power, they're dicking them all over the show.
If Honda lose this season, Stoner needs a bullet. Based on current form, be basically only has to show up, do a practice lap every now and then (was loving watching that) and then whip them for 45 minutes.

Yeah I knew that. To me, the Yamaha's don't even look that slow. The top speed of them is not far off the Honda's and the Ducati's. And we all know speed ain't everything.
Stoner would have a nice points lead if it weren't for round two, but I'm sure he'll be in the lead come the important time. I've seen him really get aggressive of late on the Honda, it's fantastic to watch I reckon!!!

Who ever has the most points at the end of the season is the best ride/team in that season there is no other way to win the championship, to win you need to be the best by winning the most points in the races available.
Simple really

... Sofoglu on the other hand,, was a knob and clearly had a brain fart! That could have been alot worse..
That comment was COMPLETELY wrong! The data from the bikes showed that Simon entered the corner at 14kmph SLOWER than all previous laps and Sufoglu at the same speed as all previous laps. Hence control after viewing the data decided that the crash was Simon's fault and no penalty for Sufoglu.

Sofoghead still could have not done that. He was a nut case on the 600 SSP on still rides the same

Thanks for that bit of info Cleve. Watching (from my armchair) my first instinct was just that. Simon, for some reason, had seemed to be slowing dramatically mid corner and Sofoglu was in fact a bit hard done by.:yes:

I think I upset a few people by suggesting that winning a championship without winning races was a tad hollow. Plastic Trophies. Earned certainly but not particularly memorable. Look,, there's no doubt all these guys are supermen, I simply believe only a few have the krytonite. I apologise for any offence taken.

Cool info and I follow your reasoning, but frankly to blame a guy for slowing a little differently for a corner than on previous laps is absurd.

His points about finishing and getting the most points etc, are all valid of course.
